Look Up and Realize That The Sky is the Limit

Late in 2018, Holdman Studios began working on a project for Nu Skin. The objective was to create something that would inspire their distributors and others to aim high in their goals. Their mission statement expresses the desire to be a force for good all across the globe and empower people with innovative products and rewarding business opportunities to improve lives.  In that spirit, our team wanted to design and create a visual representation of reaching for the stars; the idea of showing the galaxy above was born.

One can look at this galaxy in glass and be motivated by their limitless potential, by what they can individually and collectively achieve.

The project took several months to complete.  The clean, modern lines of Nu Skin’s buildings are reminiscent of the Apple Corporation, stemming from the fact that both use the same architect.  Wanting to merge seamlessly with that environment, we opted for a stainless steel outer ring with no visible joint in it.

We carved stars on two separate layers so we could illuminate the piece and it would appear as if the stars were twinkling. It was a difficult process, but worth the dazzling result.

As Mary Poppins serenades, “Anything can happen if you let it...If you reach for the stars all you get are the stars; if you reach for the heavens, you get the stars thrown in.”
